Known for its 300 of sunlight, the Algarve is a great spot for summer holidays. But when the sun is not shining, it is also the perfect opportunity to discover Algarve’s indoors attractions. We leave you with a list of the top things to do when it’s raining in the Algarve. Come along!

Top things to do when it’s raining in the Algarve

There’s no denying that COVID has shaken the world. With so many people’s lives and livelihoods threatened, the travel industry is no exception. However, things now start to look much better in Portugal. The death toll has been on the decline. With some of Europe’s lowest cases, if you want to see the Algarve, you still can.

The Portuguese government has relaxed the country's borders, allowing entry to tourists from certain countries. From May 1, road traffic between Portugal and Spain is allowed again. Concerning air travel regulations, only a pre-departure negative PCR test is required to enter the country, regardless of the country of origin. Travellers must take the test within 72 hours before departure. Only if passengers belong to high-risk countries (with an incidence rate of 500 cases or more per 100.000 inhabitants in the last 14 days), must also complete a 14-day isolation period after entering mainland Portugal.

With one of the least amount of cases in Portugal, the Algarve is a perfect place to start travelling again.

We, at Portugal Airport Transfer, pride ourselves with our excellent service and ease when it comes to travelling in the Algarve. So we’ve made a list of how our service is the best option to see the Algarve. Come along!

Safety
Safety is so important, now more than ever. We at Portugal Airport Transfer can assure you that your safety is extremely important to us. Not only has the government enforced their own safety measures, which you can read here but we also have implemented our own safety measures in our taxis to protect you and our drivers. Our drivers will wear their masks and carry out appropriate sanitation practices. We also would ask you to sit in the back seats to maintain a distance from your driver. Apart from this our services are still delivered at a high standard! Book your transfer with us here. With only our driver in the cars, you will not be in contact with anyone else, making our services safer than public transport.

Ease
Lisbon is known as the land of 8 hills and the Algarve, though not as hilly, isn't flat either. We understand that not every day has to be a leg day and want to provide you with as much ease on your trip as possible. We exist to make your life easier. We take you anywhere, anytime. We want to offer you high-quality Airport, Golf and Waterpark Transfers across the Algarve. Especially when you are planning on carrying equipment such as golf clubs and biking equipment. These are much easier and convenient to carry in one of our cars. Also, our service allows you to pick the type of car that would be ideal for your trip!

Price
We offer competitive rates on all our transfers. From time to time, we also offer special discounts on our social media pages so stay in the loop with us on Instagram and Facebook.

Organisation
When you’re planning on visiting a country for a short period of time, the last thing you want to be doing is waiting for a bus. This is also, as we mentioned above, not the safest option for you given our current climate. With Portugal Airport Transfer we put you in control. You schedule when you need our services and we will deliver you a personal driver taking you anywhere, anytime.

Informative
We pride ourselves on the excellent level of service that our drivers provide. Not only will you be getting a driver but you’ll also be getting guidance. Our drivers will be able to be there to help you and would be happy to answer any of your queries and can even tell you about some hidden gems in the region!

But don’t just take our word for it, read our reviews here.
