  • Zoomarine; Algarve, Guia, Portugal

Zoomarine is a popular water park in the Guia area of the Algarve, it is a fun day out for all the family. It offers seal and dolphin shows, an aquarium and pools with slides and a wave pool. It is open from 10am - 5pm most days, excluding Sundays and Mondays. Some of its most popular rides include the Rapid River and Aquasplash. 

There are lots of restaurants throughout the park, all offering different meals depending on your budget, and how much time you have.

This water park has high ratings amongst other families and is an enjoyable day out for the whole family.

2) Visiting the beach; Praia dos Estudantes              

Next on the list is visiting one of the many beaches around the Algarve area. There are lots to choose from, so you may even decide to do more than one during the duration of your holiday. One beach recommended for families with high reviews is Praia dos Estudantes. This beach is located in Lagos.  Best liked for its beautiful blue seas, and scenic cliffs. This particular beach is also accessible through a rock tunnel.

Lagos Zoo has got birds, mammals and reptiles all around! This is suitable for the whole family and it is open every day from 10am - 7pm. There are also refreshments and a restaurant available. People often spend between 2 to 4 hours at this zoo, so it is possible to spend the whole day here, or even just visit for an afternoon. The zoo has different activities available too depending on what time of the year you decide to visit.

5)  PARQUE AVENTURA; 

For those families with older children, Parque Aventura might be the best choice! It is a high ropes course in the Algarve, and they also offer paintballing too.There are three different levels - curious, adventurous and fearless. Each level has a different minimum age requirement.
